2025 Construction Progress Update
Alhamdulillah, we have made tremendous progress on our community center throughout 2025. Here is a summary of all the work completed.
Alhamdulillah, as we come to the end of 2025, we are grateful to share the significant progress that has been made on our community center at 1680 Glasgow St. Through the blessings of Allah and the support of our community, the following work has been completed:
Completed Work
Exterior
- Installed all exterior windows and doors
HVAC
- Installed all HVAC units throughout the building
HVAC ductwork installation
Plumbing
- Completed the installation of rough-in plumbing
- Passed inspection and approved by the city inspector
Structural Work
- Installed the main stair set
- Installed one of two side stair sets
- Completed demolition of some walls and constructed new ones
- Installed all new structural metal beams and posts

Utilities
- Connected all utility services: water, hydro, and gas
Electrical
- Installed all equipment, transformer, and panels in the electrical room
- Passed inspection and approved by the city inspector
Concrete
- Poured concrete on both the main and second floors

Looking Ahead
With these major milestones completed, our building is truly taking shape. The structural and utility work now in place provides the foundation for the finishing stages of construction.
We continue to work toward our goal of providing the Kitchener-Waterloo Muslim community with a place to pray, learn, and gather. Your continued support through donations and duas helps make this dream a reality.
