About Us
The KW Islamic Association is a community-driven organization dedicated to serving Muslims in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.
Our Story
The Kitchener-Waterloo Islamic Association (KWIA) has served as a pillar of unity and strength for the Muslim community in the Kitchener-Waterloo area since 1987. As a charitable organization, KWIA has remained dedicated to meeting the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our community.
Today, KWIA owns an 11-acre plot of land in the heart of Kitchener-Waterloo, valued at approximately $10 million. This land is the cornerstone of our community's future. Construction of our comprehensive Islamic center began on December 2024.
This project is a testament to our collective faith, dedication, and vision for a thriving Muslim community. It will create a space for worship, education, and gathering that benefits our children, our youth, our elders, and the entire community for generations to come.
