Initial Site Grading Complete

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to announce that the initial grading work on our 11-acre property at 1680 Glasgow St in Kitchener has been completed. This marks an important milestone in our journey to build a comprehensive Islamic center for the Kitchener-Waterloo Muslim community.

What This Means

The initial grading work involved preparing and leveling the land to create a solid foundation for our future construction. This essential site work ensures proper drainage and establishes the groundwork for the buildings to come.

Our Vision

Since 1987, the Kitchener-Waterloo Islamic Association has served as a pillar of unity and strength for our community. This project represents not just construction, but a testament to our collective faith, dedication, and vision.

Our comprehensive plan includes:

• A masjid to serve as the heart of our community
• An affordable public school with an Islamic curriculum
• A multi-purpose gymnasium for sports and community events
• Ample parking to accommodate our growing congregation

Looking Ahead

With the site grading complete, we move closer to realizing our dream of a space where our community can pray, learn, and gather together. The 11-acre property provides ample room for future expansion as our community continues to grow.
